Overall Difficulty:
There are 3 short steep climbs in the first 21 miles with a lot of rollers. 13 miles of a nice -2% grade to the ferry. A significant 2.0 mile climb from the ferry to Spears. Avg 3.6% Max 7.2%. 446ft. Lots of rollers and 2 short steep climbs in the last 20 miles.
Typically people will ride this route .5 to 1.5 mph avg slower than typical Lexington club rides.

There are stores in Richmond if you need at 20 miles and my wife is going to provide a SAG stop at the ferry on the Fayette side of the river, at about the 34 mile point.
