"Roads Less Traveled" will be a series of weekend rides this season that seeks to get us out on routes that aren't routinely on the calendar.
I plan to ride 12-13 mph. Faster riders are welcome, but will not have a separate ride leader. Due to the ferry crossing, the ride may be cancelled not only due to rain, but also due to high water, high winds, or mechanical problems when the ferry cannot run. I will call to check and post on the BCC Forum and facebook after 8 am on the ride day.
We hope to join some members of the Limestone Cycling League, as well as some from the Cincinnati Cycle Club there to ride.
There are plenty of store stops available in small towns along the way.
Riders are encouraged to take their time and explore, particularly in
Augusta, Kentucky; Ripley, Ohio; and Maysville/Washington, Kentucky.
Augusta is particularly well-situated for a lunch stop, and there is a Fall Colors Festival held there this weekend.
