Details:
Madison county has some of the best back roads in the state for road
biking. Our routes cover a variety of terrain from almost flat to "holy
Cow!" We have beautiful rolling hills, easy straight flat sections, and
ridgetop-to-ridgetop crossings that will leave your legs quivering. We
never do the same route twice in a row and get to see some of the best
parts of the county each week. We offer multiple pace groups for each ride
(quite often the fastest rides are leaderless) based on the people who show
up for the rides each week. We are informal, friendly, inclusive, and out
for a good time. All of our rides are NO DROP rides--meaning that if you
bonk, someone will always stay to ride with you, or you can be swept up by
a slower group behind. Nobody has to ride alone. We meet at Mike's Hike
and Bike to start and end the ride, but there is often post-ride
refreshment available at a number of downtown establishments.
