Distance: This 6+ mile ride is part of the Traffic Skills 101 course.

Pace: Leisure/Casual (Under 10 mph)

Terrain: 1 - Mostly Flat

The ride will have regrouping,
The ride is swept
Ride will be held rain or shine
Restroom facilities are available at the starting location
There will not be a store stop

Details:

Your Bluegrass Cycling club is sponsoring another Traffic Skills 101 class on Saturday August 19th at the WT Young Campus center 361 N Broadway (the corner of 4th and Broadway) located on the Transylvania campus.

If you have a desire to learn more about bicycle handling and safety. You will want to take this class. There will be several presentations and several bicycle handling exercises that will make you wonder why you did not know these skills before you started riding your bicycle.

The class will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is no fee for this course. Lunch and drinks will be provided. Parking should not be a problem as there are are several small parking lots off of 4th street on either side of Broadway and a large parking lot directly behind the WT Young Campus center

Please bring your bicycle and appropriate attire shoes, helmet, gloves, etc.

Another benefit, if down the road if you decide to be a League of American Bicyclist's certified LCI bicycle instructor. TS 101 is the pre-req.
