Overall Difficulty:
Mostly flat. Paved roads and crushed limestone. It’s fine to take a gravel or mountain bike to ride the entire tour.
It will be on mostly bike trails and pathways. Casual riding.
Details:
The region is known for its scenery - sandy beaches , clear lakes, lighthouses, charming resort towns, rivers and expansive shorelines. It has a network of 300 miles of trails. An additional special ride will venture onto Mackinac Island to explore up to 70 more miles. The tour offers a 2, 6 or 8 day tour. I’m leading the 6 day tour.
There are camping options or hotels/BB’s. If you want to reserve accommodations other than camping, you’ll need to reserve overnight stays in each town. The ride moves every 2 days to another location. Breakfast and most dinners included.
