25-35 miles.  We are blessed with MANY different routes to choose from.

Check with Facebook before the Sunday.

Pace: B Pace (14-16 mph), A/B Pace (16-18 mph), A Pace (18-20 mph)

Terrain: 4 - Strenuous Rollers, 5 - Hilly, 6 - Significant Climbs
Map and cue sheet both provided
The ride will have regrouping
Rain cancels - check bgcycling.org forum one hour before if unsure
Restroom facilities are available at the starting location
There will not be a store stop

Overall Difficulty:

The overall route is extremely beautiful with lightly traveled and smooth roads.  The A pace has several climbs that will catch your attention and will usually be chased by the A/B pace. The B routes will have less climbs but will be just as beautiful.

"Never measure the height of a mountain until you have reached the top.

Then you will see how low it was." - Dag Hammarskjold

Details:

Gene and I will be leading the A and A/B routes and Steve "Always Happy" Roggenkamp will be leading the B riders.

To start the season off, we will be leaving at 4pm until the Horsey Hundred and then we will adjust the times to accommodate the heat.

We would argue that this is the most beautiful ride that the Bluegrass Cycling Club has to offer, but of course we are biased to the area.  There is very little vehicle traffic but lots of wildlife to watch out for, to include deer, turkey and goats.  This is a challenging ride but well worth your effort and extremely rewarding.

After the ride, feel free to hand out and talk about your ride with us over a beverage and a meal at Country Boy Brewing.  If you didn't already know, they now have their own Kitchen and it's pretty darn good!!!

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU!!!
