Distance: 20 to 35 miles, depending on weather, pace, and time of year.

Pace: B/C Pace (12-14 mph), B Pace (14-16 mph), A/B Pace (16-18 mph), A Pace (18-20 mph)

Terrain: 3 - Moderate Rollers

Map and cue sheet both provided.

The ride will have regrouping.
The ride is swept.
Rain cancels - check bgcycling.org forum one hour before if unsure.
Restroom facilities are available nearby.
There may be a store stop.

Details:  Welcome to Russell Cave!


Russell Cave is one of the best places to ride in the area.  The routes go through horse farms, beside streams and have some of the best rollers around.

 

-- A (18-20 mph) pace riders are welcome, but may not have a leader with the group.

-- A/B (16-18 mph) pace may or may not be swept or regrouped.

-- B (14-16 mph) pace is swept by ride leaders and will regroup as needed.

-- B/C (12-14 mph) is swept by ride leaders and will regroup at regular intervals.

-- A and A/B groups typically ride in a pace line.

-- B group may or may not ride in a pace line.
-- B/C group does not ride in a pace line.

 

Just a reminder that club pace guidelines should be followed. The ride leaders request that all riders select the appropriate groups to ride with based upon your fitness and ride desires for the evening.

 

Post ride festivities include a stop at one of the oldest country stores and Bluegrass Bike Partners in Kentucky, the famous Jot 'em Down store, home of the coldest beverages and best sandwiches in Fayette County.
