The Bluegrass Cycling Club with the Friends of the PARKS and the LFUCG will plant 200 trees along the Legacy Trail near the David Rempe bench on the north side of I 64. Minimum of 40 volunteers needed; up to 80 volunteers can be used. Sports clubs, Scout troops, nature and environmental groups are asked to participate. Families, children and significant others are encouraged to participate. Interested in helping? Contact Dixie Moore, BCC Coordinator, dixiemoore1501@gmail.com or Sandy Shafer, sandywshafer@gmail.com of Friends of the Parks. Bring a shovel, gloves and water. Wear sturdy shoes to tamp down dirt. Holes will be pre dug with trees placed nearby. Meet at the Legacy Trail Parking Lot on McGrathiana Parkway at 8:30 AM. Sign a release, then cycle or shuttle the 1.5 miles to the planting site. A brief training session will begin at 9:00 AM at the site
