Terrain: 1 - Mostly Flat, 2 - Easy Rollers
Cue sheets will be available.
The ride will have regrouping.
Rain cancels - check bgcycling.org forum one hour before if unsure.
Restroom facilities are available nearby.  A Cup of Commonwealth has been good enough to allow the use of their place.
There will not be a store stop.

The Lexington Herald-Leader says bicyclists driving to the Ride of Silence may use their front parking lot.  There are also 48 parking spaces around Thoroughbred park on Eastern Ave. and Short St., as well as 16 spaces on Main St. between Eastern and Rose.

Details:

Join the Bluegrass Cycling Club and Central Kentucky bicycling community as we ride the 2018 Bluegrass Ride of Silence in memory of cyclists injured or killed while riding their bicycle.

 

We will start gathering at Thoroughbred Park a 6:30pm. At 6:50 we will have a short memorial. At 7:00 we will begin the ride. The ride will be slightly over 10 miles. We will ride a 10-12 mph pace in silence to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. The route will take us through downtown Lexington, UK Campus, and some of the local neighborhoods.

 

All riders must wear helmets.

 

Children 18 and under can ride with a waiver signed by a parent.

Children 16 years of age and under must ride with a parent. They also must be able to complete the 10-mile route.

 

Please use front and rear lights.
