Calendar - Event View

Join us on Saturday January 7, 2023 for our 2022 Pedaling for a Purpose Jersey/Tee Shirt distribution and check presentation. We will gather beginning at 10 am for light refreshments and our program will begin at 10:30. 

The good folk from Broke Spoke will be offering a tour of Broke Spoke following our program, and we will also be taking photos of volunteers wearing Giordana jerseys (Giordana is out new vendor for the Horsey Hundred) that we will use on our website to help provide more information to people in selecting the proper size. 

We rode enough miles to earn the full donation amount for our cycling-related nonprofits in 2022! The groups receiving checks (1/2 from the BCC and 1/2 from our partner West 6th) are as follows:

• Bluegrass Ambucs $1,400
• Broke Spoke Community Bike Shop $1,400
• Our 4 Bluegrass area NICA Mountain Bike Teams $2,000 ($500 for each team)

There were 36 people who had enough points to earn a free jersey and 19 people who earned a free tee shirt. We will also have a couple of tee shirts that will be door prizes for those attending. 

There will also be an all-comer's ride if the weather cooperates. We will have some maps and sign in sheets for those interested - there will be no ride leaders and no pace groups but anyone interested is welcomed to forma a group and plan a ride!
