In most years the Bluegrass Cycling Club (BCC) hosts a series of Brevets de Randonneurs Mondiaux (BRM). BCC is sanctioned by Randonneurs USA (RUSA) to organize these long-distance touring rides. The BRM serve as qualifying eventsfor Boston-Montreal-Boston (BMB), Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP),and other events sanctioned by the Audax Club Parisien(ACP) and Randonneurs Mondiaux (RM). Check the event calendar for current Brevet events.
For further information on Paris-Brest-Paris, Randonneurs Mondiaux, Randonneurs USA, etc., please see the RUSA and Randonneur Mondiaux web sites.
Typically, BCC organizes a full BRM series in the PBP yearand the year prior. In the post-PBP year usually only a200 is organized. The year after, a 200 and a 300 areorganized. The next PBP year is 2007.

Routes
The 600 km route is an out and back route with thestart-finish located near Georgetown, Kentucky. The otherbrevets are subsections of the 600 km route. Doing the 200and 300 km brevets allows you to see the route to be riddenin the dark on the 400 and 600 km brevets.
Routes have been selected to be challenging, but not impossible. There are approximately 6,000 feet of climbingper 200 km for each brevet, about the same as PBP. Most climbs are less than one mile, but a few are a bit steep. A triple could be of great help.
All routes are marked with white Dan Henry arrows. Only turns are marked. Three arrows are used at each turn(before, at, after). Routes are NOT marked inside towns. Cue sheets with full details are provided. No maps are provided. Each rider receives a brevet cardwith contrôles locations and opening andclosing times.
