On behalf of the Bluegrass Cycling Club Christmas Bike Charity committee, I would like to thank Dicks’ Sporting Goods, the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Bluegrass, the Brain Association of Kentucky, Kosair Children’s Hospital, the Bluegrass Chapter of the American Red Cross, and the great members of the Bluegrass Cycling Club for the their fantastic support and partnership for our fourth annual “Christmas Bike Charity Bike Rodeo and Pizza Party.

We gave 50 children a great afternoon which included a new bike, a new helmet with safety orientation, a teddy bear for every child, a bicycle skills rodeo and enough pizza to sustain a small army. “This event definitely demonstrates what Christmas is all about in the heart of every child” says Ana Edwards BCC member and event volunteer. Please mark your calendars for mid June when we form the 2009 Bluegrass Cycling Club Christmas Bike Charity committee. Every member’s ideas and energy are welcome and it is a great opportunity to make a child smile during the Christmas season.
